Ork customized Battlewagon - Done

I'm finally done with the basic version of my ork Battlewagon with integrated death rolla. Only spare parts from different gw kits were used. The big shootaz on the small turret can be removed and  replaced by 2 bazookaz (magnets).

Dedicated Transports = First blood ?

It's becoming a pattern to target dedicated transports to score first blood, even when they are in heavy cover. And you are seeing less of them in my area. 9 out of 10 space marine players I faced didn't have any rhino's or razorbacks, you keep seeing drop pods for the obvious reasons. But even then, e.g. a drop pod with a Cybot is dropped behind your lines, in 6th edition you'd target the drop pod first as it rewards you with 1 victory point ... this is so (let me put it in games workshop words) "uncinematic".

Ork battle truck and dealing with loose ends

I've long been looking forward to start this project on my Ork Battle Truck. It's basically an ork battle wagon, but I never liked the standard front. Even orks would prefere a big engine and lots of steel between them and the target they ram. That's why I got started on my ork battle truck. Death from the Skies has finally hit the shelves ... well rather the online shelves in this case.

There has been quite a discussion about this book, and how useful it is. But let's take a look at the changes it brought.

Imperial Guard or does my uniform match my tank ?

 I've traded in most of my DV Dark Angels for more cadian shock troops. Since I can't stand to see any more orks, I've started to paint them They currently look like this, they are supposed to be a standard infantry squad. (Weathering and high lighting is still on the to do list).

Flyers and their stats - big surprise

I had a chat with a gw employee the other day about the DA flyers, and the Nephilim's impossibility to fulfill his role as an "interceptor to establish air superiority over the battlefield" (gw's description of him) Let me put that into context, we have far too many GK players around with their Storm Ravens or as gw call's it "flying land raiders".

Ork bommer project - 70% done

Well, the left wing is more or less done, just scratches, washes and a few details like highlighting the rivets are missing. But I'll be doing that when I'm done with both wings. Oh, and I need to decide which ork stompa rokkits and bombz I should use ..

Ork Bommer Project 88 progress

I've finally found time to finish all the turrets and cockpits. Here's just a quick update with some pictures. The hull without wings looks a bit strange, that's why I've put them on for the pictures. There's still so much do to on the hull, before i can move to wings and engines.
